Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk which is the capital city of Belarus. Their father Sergey (d. 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka's career began in Minsk Belarus on 5 May 1998. Aryna's Sabalenka holds 12 WTA Singles titles, one of which was crowned Grand Slam at the Australian Open 2023. In doubles, she is extremely skilled. She has won two Majors alongside Elise Mertens The US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. With her fellow Belgian tennis champion, the Belgian won an award called the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami in 2019 thus making the Sunshine Double. Four couples only managed to accomplish this feat on women's doubles. In January of 2023 she attained her highest rating in singles. On 23rd August 2021, she rose up to number two in the ranking. In doubles however she pushed herself into first position on February the following year after the victory in Melbourne and becoming the 2nd tennis player from Belarus to make it in this particular area. She was coached by an ex- Russian tennis pro Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until at the end of season of 2019 and also in the first quarter of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann had a brief partnership with her from August 2020 to September. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman, has been coaching her in the years since 2020. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are her heroes.
